Hmm, so there is no reason to clear Ram cache and also no reason to clear Swap space?

there is 1, for show off

Probably, i came from windows, where it was necessary to clear appdata and temporary files cache

Ok, let’s look at it again. You asked about cache in general, I asked which one, you said “page cache”. I replied that’s managed by the kernel, them you moved to disk cache, and I asked what you meant by that and you them moved to app data and temporary files. So, application data is not something that’s managed by the OS, it’s managed by you. Usually application data is stored on your home folder and it’s on you to manage that. Temporary files, under /tmp, are gone when you reboot, provided you didn’t mess with your configuration and are using defaults.

Thanks a lot for explanation👍

Well, you can certainly instruct the kernel to drop it’s memory cache, but I don’t see what that accomplishes for you. As for swap, I don’t recommend running swapoff and swapon with a booted system. I mean, the kernel can handle that just fine, but applications might not.

I’m sorry for that, but archbang is not supported in this chat, it only supports arch Linux itself, specially because the installation issue could be archbang exclusive and most of us won’t know how to help

No. I just use built-in controller to change the dpi and it works but just temporarily

It doesn’t save the current profile state in memory between firmware reboots, that’s normal behaviour, you’ll need to swap the profiles in the firmware settings if you want to keep the preferred dpi first

The tool cannot do this, you’re welcome to try and add the functionality yourself though. You’ll have to use the Windows tool otherwise

C0rn3j 2022-07-12 22:57:28
It actually does support profiles(and 5(?) temporary DPI settings within those profiles) so you *should* be able to switch profiles to permanently(?) keep a DPI change, but I don’t use that myself so I don’t know

Do *NOT* try and use wine for it, you risk bricking it, passthrough the mouse to a windows VM instead (you’ll need two mice to do this comfortably)

I just installed Arch linux, and everything went fine but I didn’t use an ethernet cable and I can’t seem to use nmtui or nmcli to connect to internet using wifi.
