There’s nothing to do something like that, that I’m aware of. Mostly because encryption solves that problem in a much better way. If you are worried about sharing a computer with others, my suggestion to you is to install your applications inside your home folder, not the whole system. Other users don’t have access to your home folder. You can also use systemd-homed to encrypt just your home folder.
Is the encryption you are referring to the one we will give in lightdm or any other dm?

I was at first referring to system encryption, so it’s something you’d type the password before booting the system. It encrypts everything (almost). And you also have the option of encrypting just your home folder

I am asking encryption for each application after booting into my system and logged in as a user
nakamoto_block 2022-07-17 16:06:40
Inside that user I need to give encryption to specific application
nakamoto_block 2022-07-17 16:06:51
Like the app lock in android phones

There’s nothing that I know that does that, at least, not out of the box. You could do this with containers, perhaps. But still, it’s a silly approach, and you still haven’t stated why you need something like this in the first place.

Like I need to run a blockchain node
So my system will be opened when it’s running even if I am not in my room so I don’t want any other person to access my files browser etc

It should not.
cubementore 2022-07-17 16:13:35
it does not stop my music playback, so it should not stop nodes
nakamoto_block 2022-07-17 16:13:47
Okay👍
cubementore 2022-07-17 16:13:51
just keep in mind you need to lock the screen, not logout
cubementore 2022-07-17 16:16:15
cubementore 2022-07-17 16:16:15

because some DEs let you do both

cubementore 2022-07-17 16:18:25
this is xfce4
unboundvariable 2022-07-17 16:39:53
do you have something like xfce4-screensaver installed?
cubementore 2022-07-17 16:41:55

i do
unboundvariable 2022-07-17 16:43:21
ctrl-alt-l do anything?
unboundvariable 2022-07-17 16:43:36
why 2 screensavers…
unboundvariable 2022-07-17 16:50:41
you can add an applet to panel also, action buttons, gives you a lock screen option.
unboundvariable 2022-07-17 16:53:50
other than that, idk, I don’t use it.

your power saving setting could stop it,
btw…don’t do blockchain…it is wasting energy/resources

ctrl-alt-l do anything?
no, i explicitly unbound it since i have a dedicated “Lock” key, which starts a screensaver
