I did shift w

Samad83 2022-07-20 21:43:02
Should i quit?
cubementore 2022-07-20 21:43:20
yes
cubementore 2022-07-20 21:44:39
now proceed with (re)installing Arch as shown in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/installation_guide#Format_the_partitions – your root partition is /dev/sda1 and your swap partition is /dev/sda2. also all of your data was lost due to mindlessly typing mkswap /dev/sda1 earlier, dont do that again.
cubementore 2022-07-20 21:45:46
you should only mk* if you are sure you will not lose any data by doing that.
cubementore 2022-07-20 21:46:14
but since we have no data left… mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda1 && mkswap /dev/sda2 should do

cubementore 2022-07-20 21:47:35
we already made the partitions.
cubementore 2022-07-20 21:47:56
Samad83 2022-07-20 21:40:59

this is the partitions we made. 457 gb root and 8.8 gb swap.

Dos

its the name cfdisk uses for MBR/Legacy partitioning tables, its the one we need on this hardware

cubementore 2022-07-20 21:46:14
but since we have no data left… mkfs.ext4 /dev/sda1 && mkswap /dev/sda2 should do

Then i have to type this command?

cubementore 2022-07-20 21:49:26

cubementore 2022-07-20 21:50:23
