If you could just answer the question, believe it or not it has a practical purpose

then if you don’t know, don’t simply ignore what was told you and joke about everything is failing

I downloaded it in this machine, and I wiped it
I can find the name but the size may differ if anything is wrong with the file itself, which it shouldn’t

Do you remember whether it was the bootstrap image (~150MB) or the full image (~800MB)? Was it the latest one (July 2022)?
il_muflone 2022-07-23 19:01:48
and double check the version number
ActuallyNotGelb 2022-07-23 19:01:57
same error, 20220713-1
il_muflone 2022-07-23 19:02:11

If you don’t delete the package you can install it directly from the cache with pacman -U; that normally works around the signature check as it’s a “local” file.

ok, so it’s an arch issue?
ActuallyNotGelb 2022-07-23 19:04:41
I was very afraid it was something wrong with me, my network or the computer tbh
I’m as dumb as a brick, as you can tell lol

I won’t go as far as saying that. But it does look like downloading the latest ISO and trying to do a typical install has issues related to the keyring, yes

I tried the June ISO, same issue
ActuallyNotGelb 2022-07-23 19:05:42
I had issues with systemd in one of the early 2022 ISO, and using an ISO a month prior did work fine
so I tried the same thing here, no luck

I’m afraid I’m not familiar enough with pacman to go any further than this in my evaluation

I’m just gonna help my dad burn a DVD, I’ll maybe switch to Alpine on this system anyway

that desktop has an Atom D425 and serves me no purpose, I just have it as a toy
hopefully it’s working next week when I get my new laptop tho (finally getting a ThinkPad, a Ryzen 7 5700U ThinkPad E14 Gen 3, to be more precise)
