I don’t really remember, will check pacman logs when I get home. I wasn’t installing much stuff because i’ve read that VDPAU support is provided by nvidia-utils which I had installed already because I’m using proprietary driver
I use Wayland and only access MX110 to play on Steam. I see no advantage in using it for other things. If I need something specific I use nvidia-prime. My processor is Intel with the integrated UHD Graphics 620 video card.

one thing i know of is the SMART test, and you could use any live program (i.e. you boot not an entire operating system, but a single program) or any distribution made for that purpose to check on the health of your drive using this kind of test
note, this checks ONLY the health of your drive, not of the file system in it
but if your drive is healthy, i don’t know why a reinstall should not work

can you dump the superblock and the chunk tree? sudo btrfs inspect-internal dump-super /dev/sda2 && sudo btrfs inspect-internal dump-tree -t chunk /dev/sda2 to some pastebin service
