Hm, is the xf86-video-driver ignored on Wayland?
Actually modesetting one seems to be part of xorg too…

yes (in my option) it’s device dependent X, a part of Xorg-server that depend on the device, so not related to all wayland implementations

Hi all 👋 Is it possible to have a remote desktop without to a server which doesn’t have a monitor?
EgidioCaprino 2022-08-08 11:55:35
Hey @C0rn3j, I just saw your website. I love it. Did you use a CMS. What is that?

I had that problem too, uncomment the Grub Disable os-prober=false in /etc/default/grub before generating grub config.
It work for me

@C0rn3j do you know something like that which generates static websites?

Wrongful ca-certificates maybe 0-bytes trusts for invalid packing with not functionally curl.

I’ve seen someone complain of the same thing but there doesn’t appear to be any obvious reason for it.

Maybe due to incomplete updates? Or, in btrfs this can happen due to power outage just after the upgrade

I’ll give up, I do my best to dualboot arch Linux in my Acer nitro 5 unfortunately it won’t
Did you install the package os-prober ? It’s not installed by default. Without it, grub could not detect other OS and no error or warning messages

It’s an inappropriate method, but if we wget -q http://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem -O /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt, the necessary measures for the operation process can.
But it doesn’t resolve any of the dozens of other files where the relay certificate remains 0 bytes, so I wonder if mozilla is properly trusted with p11-kit or is it only from Apple Silicon anymore?

Hi! I want to update my mirrorlist but reflector said
WARNING: failed to rate http(s) download bla bla bla Download timed out after 5 second(s).
For every server
I launched it with –country Ukraine so does it mean all Ukrainian Arch repo mirrors are down?
crab🦀 2022-08-08 16:23:00
It added those servers to mirrorlist though

It means you were unable to reach them

Well I have stable wired internet connection and everything other works so…
il_muflone 2022-08-08 16:24:30

I can’t help you with grub, but if you use systemd-boot all you have to do is to keep both ESP files on one ESP, and it’ll detect Windows automatically
its okay I fixed it already and I sucessfully dual booted now

Not limiting by country might be a good idea

Why limit by country?
Do you really care whether the package request gets a hit in 10ms vs 100ms?

Hi. Linux comes with transparent hugepages enabled. How do I disable it?

facing microstutters from time to time. Had been playing around with many tweaks as of now. Thought of looking into THP. What I’m observing is a lot of cached pages but reduced performance. Surely the memory has been fragmented.
romelsalwi 2022-08-08 17:22:53
So I have disabled it through grub but I can still see around 4GB of cache on memory.
Running grep HugePages /proc/meminfo gave me this:
AnonHugePages: 0 kB
ShmemHugePages: 0 kB
FileHugePages: 0 kB HugePages_Total: 1
HugePages_Free: 1
HugePages_Rsvd: 0
HugePages_Surp: 0

Who is this hidden entity caching right now? Note that I have set a static and dynamic HP.

You’re drawing a conclusion that might not be warranted by the evidence.
