Crazy pitch: how about running ethtool -h and finding out how to query an interface with it?

I don’t need anything. If you give us the output of ethtool <interface> command, we can move on

It does not look like your interface is the issue.

Will this finally get you to switch to KVM? 😀

the culprits seem to be OS X and Debian Jessie amd64 a bad value in configuration files

I am using the latest August iso to install and the sound comes along along with the moment grub screen appears

https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/archiso/-/blob/master/configs/releng/grub/grub.cfg#L28-29

this is the thing responsible for that loud sound.
Is it possible that it will be removed if i do a PR?
would be good for laptop owners (because no dedicated beep speaker) to not get scared and the whole apartment alerted on booting the iso

those who have added should have thought about how it would behave on laptops

It is there for a specific reason, it won’t be removed.

Don’t mix 2 network managers. Either use systemd-networkd or use network manager. Mixing NM’s is a recipe for disaster.

Hi, I was playing around with Pipewire and I wanted to try to add some custom rules but I can’t get them to work. I added this line in /etc/pipewire/client.conf but after restarting Pipewire the node name doesn’t change. Does anyone know if I’m doing something wrong?

Does anyone know why it doesn’t work?
