What does that code mean?

il_muflone 2022-08-10 13:04:49
It seems your disk lost its power 217 times. Check cables and psu

It can’t be because of the SATA cable, can it?
Everything looks normal on the surface.

Also, electrical faults are rarely visible to the naked eye… 😜

Not sata, power

I assune my PSU is broken or something. 217 times is a lot

jonathn 2022-08-10 13:17:01
it could be a loose connection, so it’s e.g. losing power when it’s moved

First check cables if you have others available

Well the cables comming from the power supply aren’t changeable but there are two power outputs: one for my SSD and one for my cdrom. I can swap them at least.

PSUs usually have more than 2 cables

Maybe you need a molex adapter for those 4 pins cables
metalsz 2022-08-10 13:23:07

yep this is why I avoid btrfs, it just can’t survived such incidents.
Try salvaging what can be read.
re install.

Well start by reverting your DVD of course

Hey I am still having this issue.
I can still connect with bluetoothctl though

If it happened after an update then you can 1) downgrade the package that created the issue and see if it helps 2) check whether the issue is known upstream 3) wait until the regression is fixed

It doesn’t boot up and still get the same error. It should be tested to see which causes power loss. Is it safe to format the partition and install Arch again?

Of course the errors won’t go away. I’m not expert in btrfs so I don’t know how to fix it.

Yeah, but can a format be dangerous in this kinda situations?

There’s nothing dangerous in formatting apart losing the data

my home partition is alright, the problem is on the root partition.

devraymondsh 2022-08-10 13:57:06
My necessary data are in /home hopefully
devraymondsh 2022-08-10 13:57:27
I even have a backup of my pacman packages in there 😂
devraymondsh 2022-08-10 13:58:09
Well, not the whole package but just their names in a list
