I got lucky with my realtek wifi, no issues whatsoever, but on my other machine, realtek wifi doesn’t even work by default

Both. The script is recent. It was easy before that too. Especially if you follow the wiki carefully and do a bit of reading on Linux.

archinstall is tui, I guess
regular install is mostly cli, except for cfdisk if you use that
