You can use archinstall, though that won’t save you from having to read and try for post-install.
JF049 2022-08-16 10:06:36
archinstall is a menu-based (TUI) installer

I mean is the any way through i can just click and install arch without giving commands
Vanilla arch is not possible. Eneavour OS is very close to Arch. You will not miss anything. If you want to try giving commands, then I may help you.

Naah it’s not like that
Everything has pros and cons
Yet at starting it may be difficult for me to understand that distro but ya I will never spread rumour about
I love all distro

I guess it’s your pure laziness, no complications. ESPECIALLY in latest arch install methods, they’re plain simple made for uneducated people
wardenunit 2022-08-16 10:12:17
Follow the wiki.

GUI installers/apps are a bit more accessible for non tech-savvy users because they usually show necessary, if not all, options to choose from right away in front of your eye, making the need in reading manuals and articles a lot less.
Like, you can use ffmpeg to convert stuff, but when a person needs to do it right away and they don’t know how to use`ffmpeg` at all, they’d be likely to prefer a GUI tool instead because of its ease of use, showing you all of its options as menus.
JF049 2022-08-16 10:14:15
It’s not always about laziness
DaFluffyDragon 2022-08-16 10:14:48
In this case, I think it might be.
JF049 2022-08-16 10:17:43
I can’t guess what it may be, but, in general and in my experience with interacting with other people, not everybody is good at understanding CLI/TUI interfaces
JF049 2022-08-16 10:17:53
Sometimes people can’t imagine relatively abstract things and other stuff behind these commands, that’s why graphic installers exist in EndeavourOS and others.

It is not laziness. I have used Arch and almost every other mainstream distro. Arch is very easy for me to install now (I have done it many times) but first time it was not. Reason was not laziness. Reason was the fear that if I make any mistake then I will loose my data. Everything is easy once we know it, but for a beginner things are difficult.

Depends. Sometimes people don’t understand such things as /dev/sda, /dev/mmcblk0, etc, they prefer seeing the layout of these disks in a graphical way (as a list or a long partition “bar”, for example)

I dunno, way they’re messaging matches a lot of folk who just can’t be assed reading the documentation. Especially asking about GUI installer.

Arch instructions are complicated and not in a step by step manner. For example any one who is only used to graphical installers and distros like linux mint will feel puzzled at the arch wiki page of boot loader. He/She will not be even able to decide which bootloader they want.

They absolutely don’t have to, in case they follow the wiki

Or even manuals.

Not sure you’re right there. Arch was second distro I used. Had very little issue with documentation, when I actually sat down and read it. Not reading it thoroughly is what sets folk up for strife.

I read it but many things were not clear from instructions. Unless one have previous knowledge about technical concepts of computer Arch is certainly difficult.

It’s pretty clear, if you read it, then search it for articles on the bits you don’t understand. If you don’t want to read the documentation, arch isn’t the system for you. Just gonna set you up for issues.
DaFluffyDragon 2022-08-16 10:28:39
Not saying it’s not an effort, but if you actually put that effort in, shouldn’t have that much trouble. Takes a while, but yeah. You shouldn’t have much trouble with it, if you try understand what you don’t know.

every optimal OS, including Arch, requires users being EDUCATED at least in terms of performing actions
when you tell that someone refuses to read the wiki, then he’s just an annoying piece of laziness

No optimal OS wants experienced person to not explain in easy terms to a beginner how to install that OS. The reason why people don’t want to read wiki is it’s being difficult. For example you didn’t use full stop after the word actions, but it doesn’t mean you are lazy and don’t want to read grammar. We human beings are humans and not robots. We find somethings difficult or boring but it doesn’t mean someone can judge as a person.
