If I teach someone how to install Arch without telling that person to read wiki, do Arch creators, you or anyone else has any right to stop me?
You’re not going to help them all the time, will you?
Are you the sole authority to decide what action can cause damage?
If we take 2 same models of laptop and on one you will install and on one other person will install after listening instructions from me then what will be the technical difference between these two laptops?
Is creator of Arch linux the owner of this group?
no, these are facts
you’re confusing the open license with your will, which is neither granted nor denied
so you’re using wrong words
license covers the rights to use and distribute the software
you’re confusing the open license with your will, which is neither granted nor denied
so you’re using wrong words
Ok, words might be wrong. English is not first language. Forget words, talk about point. If I teach someone how to install Arch without telling that person to read wiki, do Arch creators, you or anyone else has any right to stop me?
whoever installs Arch using “your way” is not using Arch Linux, hence cannot have any support
license covers the rights to use and distribute the software
I know that is what I told.
no, no one could tell you not to do but you’re doing a huge damage, giving such people an unsupported distribution which is not Arch Linux
whoever installs Arch using “your way” is not using Arch Linux, hence cannot have any support
Then don’t give support to that person. But let me help him.
We have rights to stop you if you claim to speak on behalf of the Arch project. Or, depending on the situation, if you do this on any of the official support channels.
absolutely never
if you try to damage others you don’t act freely everywhere, there are rules
It is technically 100% arch.
That person will come back here and on other channels and ask for help. You’re not going to help them all the time, will you?
no, again
if you try to damage others you don’t act freely everywhere, there are rules
Vaccine supporters think that anti vaxx are doing damage and vice versa. Are you the sole authority to decide what action can cause damage? Is your opinion final on this issue?
Prove it. If we take 2 same models of laptop and on one you will install and on one other person will install after listening instructions from me then what will be the technical difference between these two laptops?
you speak the truth: it’s not meant to be user friendly. Being User-friendly usually comes with hindering possibilities and this is precisely what arch does NOT pledge for.
believe, I could give you links where’s explained why you’re wrong but you lack so much interest in the community and how the community rules are defined.
this is what we call bike-shedding. I don’t want to convince you your method is not valid, I don’t care.
of course if you do here you’ll be suspended
So we have enough people to not help beginners, to practice this philosophy. Let the other people to disagree with this philosophy and still use Arch.
this is what we call bike-shedding. I don’t want to convince you your method is not valid, I don’t care.
of course if you do here you’ll be suspended
If suspension is the reward of helping someone then let it be.
Showing someone wrong path isn’t called helping.
What is wrong is subjective not objective. Claiming to be sole arbitrator of truth is illusionary.
Sure, do whatever you like, not in official communities atleast.
you’re like the mechanicals which mount unofficial parts in your car, voiding the car warranty, while the owner doesn’t know
Is creator of Arch linux the owner of this group?
No, I use exactly the same commands that you use to install Arch and teach same commamds.
EXACTLY how a youtube video installation guide, which conducts to an unsupported system (void warranty)
No, wrong analogy. In youtube you can not ask problem immediately. If someone will ask me I will fix a time and at that time person will get live help.

from the user side, he has an official unsupported system
he cannot ask help here, he cannot ask help in the forum, he cannot ask help in the official IRC channels
the only UNOFFICIAL help he might get will be yours

absolutely. But as an almost-former-begginer, i can say that arch, the way it is, supported my journey of acquiring knowledge. I once too thought arch difficult to install but today i’m thankful for not have gotten a “recipe” or “tutorial” for it.
Often times the people do not know that they want, let alone what they need. I didn’t know back then, but now i am less uneducated on the topic and i can be thankful for having gotten actual help – which is probably different.
If i had simply followed youtube tutorials back then, i’d still be doing it now and i would be also memorizing commands.
he cannot ask help here, he cannot ask help in the forum, he cannot ask help in the official IRC channels
the only UNOFFICIAL help he might get will be yours
No, even Endeavor OS is a help in this direction. There are many people like me who are trying to provide Arch benefits to non technical people.
sure, any UNOFFICIAL resource might give the help
