Desktop file from the application launcher I only hear a “du ta tam” and nothing else happens?

I have submitted an issue to snapper, so hopefully it will be resolved.
I don’t want to move my download folder, it’s not elegant and it’s not secure.

I guess snapper thinks the file directory after bind is the original empty file directory, so it deletes all the files.

because you didn’t enable iwd.service

sudo systemctl enable –now iwd.service

How do you know for sure it is that?

Lightdm doesn’t know anything about xinitrc, as far as I know. Did you install dwm?

yes,now i’m messaging you from installed dwm, i start dwm with exec dwm in .xinitrc but now i want to use display manager

There could be. Hence why I asked how you know for sure that was the problem. And also why I asked the OP for the iwd.service status output.

How did you install dwm? Because the AUR package has a xsession desktop entry.

Ok. So yes, you need to put the xsession entry in the right place for ligthdm to pick it. Usually /usr/share/xsessions

xsession entry is it something like dwm.desktop?

I was running into this back when I used iwd (also on my friends laptops)
always the problem was that the service wasn’t running

I just installed dwm in my xfce/lightdm vm, and dwm shows up, no messing..

just installed i3 for testing and it shows up in a moment, something strange with dwm…

Does your bashrc or zshrc have any special configuration? Like idk, some extra path setting
