probably the command was wrong, I used the full path, it didn’t care because it had the wrong command in cache, I kept updating the .desktop trying different things and he still used the wrong version in the cache 🤦‍♂️

~/bin is not a standard path, what you want to standardize?

yeah, that’s probably why it was kept in cache

I’ll put everything in ~/.local/bin from now on if that matters so much…

it lives in your home only, not in every user home

the ~/bin folder and the .desktop file, no, those are “standard” for that particular repo

(and all of mines too, I’m too lazy to add .local in between… nano bin/whatever is easier)

why then the full path is valid while teams by itself is not in the .desktop file?
on the terminal both are perfectly functional

I think my DE doesn’t eval bashrc to construct PATH when launching the GUI env

the executable will be searched in the current PATH variable of course
