it does it without –sign ?

I don’t know, never used aurutils.

unboundvariable 2022-08-17 13:47:21
there have been so many commits lately I’m not sure of anything .

I think when it signs, its signs both the package and the database. Or doesn’t sign at all.

I don’t know, but probably reading it’s man page will know.

-S, –sign – Sign built packages and the database (repo-add -s) with gpg(1).
unboundvariable 2022-08-17 14:01:39
can’t see an option to specify 1 or other
jonathn 2022-08-17 14:10:51
You have to add the key to your pacman keyring, same as with a signed unofficial repo.

I did that: sudo pacman-key –add sj.gpg

jonathn 2022-08-17 14:15:10
And –lsign?
jonathn 2022-08-17 14:16:12
Try repo-add -s again on the custom database file, possibly you added something to it without re-signing it.

I have nothing to accomplish. Its just how aurutils does and I can’t find an option to turn it off. I’m not sure why an AUR helper signs the database as well when none of the default arch repos are signed.

what you want to do?
does mkpkg and then pacman – U dont fulfill the job?

You’re right, it worked after I did repo-add -s /home/custompkgs/custom.db.tar.gz first. Feels strange cause I’m sure I tried it once. Thanks again!

You installed only arch or dual boot with windows?

fram_morto 2022-08-17 17:08:27
I have not installed yet arch, i just put the usb in the pc for the arch boot
fram_morto 2022-08-17 17:08:44

I have not installed yet arch, i just put the usb in the pc for the arch boot

Then either usb is not proper Arch usb or wrong selection of boot priorities in BIOS (firmware setup)

LuDGeRBriNk 2022-08-17 17:10:10
how did you put the arch iso in the usb drive? Via DD, or maybe Rufus…?
LuDGeRBriNk 2022-08-17 17:10:49
IF done via Rufis, try reflashing the iso into the usb drive marking the “DD” option.

Seems like a hardware issue, not an Arch issue.

This has some steps to troubleshoot it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop#Power_management

check your boot options in your bios/firmware and make sure the booted device is the USB, not the hdd/ssd

LuDGeRBriNk 2022-08-17 17:25:39
(or UEFI)
LuDGeRBriNk 2022-08-17 17:26:03
To check/change that, you need to enter your bios setup at start up
