like I wanna know the ratio between y’all “advanced” people and us “normie” DE users

I find pretty bad ass those who spent years tweaking the system.

Those who actually use Linux for work, are using GNOME

i have used gnome in the past and i found it slower than kde, is that the case? or maybe that’s just my hardware lol

If someone wants to setup the leaked Stable Diffusion AI on Arch, here’s my LXD setup (assumes you have installed LXD, setup groups as per wiki and ran lxd init)

Of course you can run it straight on host without containerization, but I am not going to do that with a repo from 4chan notes.

Why are you still using pulseaudio instead of pipewire-pulse?
What’s in dmesg?

operadicmaniac 2022-08-28 10:34:36
how many of you actually use tiling or dynamic window managers?

I use wm over de mainly because de is much more heavy, I’ve a shitty pentium PC and de just sucks on it (except for lightweight ones like xfce/lxde/qt)

Felix_Kyun 2022-08-28 11:57:05
And ofc once I started using wm, I just can’t go back to de

it just takes abt 250 megs on startup and it’s fully functional for my needs. plus it’s less bloat.
