Chroot into your installation, established an internet connection and update?

Do I need to mount my /home for that? because I can’t 🙁

Archcry 2022-09-04 10:46:08
I don’t think so tbh
AlfredIV 2022-09-04 10:46:43
Ok good, let me try again…

I’m thinking about doing the grub fix with arch-chroot and before restarting maybe I could try to update

one stupid question. i ve setup my i3 config to do exec —no-startup-id gnome-screenshot -c in order to do a full screenshot and keep it in the clipboard. while the app is opened (from rofi), it just works. but by using this command in terminal (app it closes afterward), so the screenshot isnt kept in memory anymore. any clipboard manager to do this job? ow something like this ? thanks

You could use the manager instead of the browser integration.

I want to increase font size in tty/console but everything works only temporally for ~one second. I tried:

– Set FONT=ter-216n in /etc/vconsole.conf
– Add consolefont hook to /etc/mkinitcpio.conf: HOOKS=(base udev autodetect modconf block filesystems keyboard fsck consolefont); sudo mkinitcpio -p linux
– Add MODULES=(radeon) to /etc/mkinitcpio.conf, regenerated with mkinitcpio -p linux. I have integrated AMD Radeon graphics and xf86-video-ati package installed.

The file /usr/lib/systemd/system/sysinit.target.wants/systemd-vconsole-setup.service does not exist and I can’t enable this service because “The unit files have no installation config…”

I also tried disabling modesetting during systemd-boot. It works but I can’t startx after this. I get “unable to connect to X server: Connection refused” error.

Can anyone help?

fabiscafe 2022-09-04 12:38:39
At first, never disable modesettings. Thats always the wrong way of doing something.

I also had this same problem. The only solution now is to switch to LTS kernel (linux-lts) or downgrade the kernel to 5.18

Do anyone started geting this issue while installing wifi driver, after linux 5.19.x i started getting this.. i Google this but was not helping… If anyone know how to solve this please help

$20 will solve it forever, Intel AX 200 if you’re able to.

You can report the bug if it’s not already and switch to linux-lts until it gets fixed otherwise.

Does Intel AX 200 not need any driver?

It needs linux-firmware I believe, and that’s it.
Intel actually gives a damn about Linux support most of the time.

No, Arch Linux has no ownership over derivatives.

For your question, you should research about it depending on your needs. Google is your friend

Also, if you are a beginner, you should consider using beginner friendly system, such as Ubuntu or Linux mint instead of Arch.

C0rn3j 2022-09-04 12:57:19
Nothing wrong with using Arch as your first distro, provided you’re willing to read and learn.
