I ran “rm -rf /*”

Which one did you run rm -rf * or rm -rf /*, Youve said both

vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:48:34
I ran “rm -rf /*”

Unmount the fs immediately.

vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:49:20

grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:49:45
Which FS?
vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:49:53
Ext4
grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:50:19
vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:49:53
Ext4

Unmount it and first try using extundelete

That’s a dangerous command to type lol

Ext4

Then debugfs

grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:50:33
Then foremost
grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:50:37
In that order
grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:50:56
But i suggest that you focus on recovering personal files
grazzolini 2022-09-06 02:51:00
And reinstall
vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:51:08
Bbffff
vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:53:05
How I can recover personal files at least?
vexedmoth 2022-09-06 02:53:32
I will reinstall

I already told you what you can try to do, there are no guarantees

I can’t umount

vexedmoth 2022-09-06 03:35:51

Follow the advice on the wiki page, create a copy of your journal asap and umount the fs

If you are currently inside that directory (pwd), then it shows like that

Hi I have a weird issue with my earphones.
Whenever I plug them in after a few seconds i get a hissing staticy sound. If I open pulseaudio or play any sound it goes away (and comes back if there’s no audio for a while)
I dont get this issue when they are plugged into another device.
How can I go about diagnosing this

I have that issue too
