Either stick with old ones and have massive idle power consumption for now, or switch to Wayland and newer drivers

Yes, it’s just very annoying to get out of it when you’re having display issues.

I have Wayland on my laptop but I use PC for games and many games work poorly with Wayland so I will stick with X and older versions of nvidia drivers till the bug gets fixed 😅

I had some issues (like switching workspaces = black screen in game) with running Hades a year back. I searched online and people recommended X for games. So I switched back to X

Idk if switching to XWayland would have solved the problem as at that time I didn’t know about it and just switched because I was annoyed

a year back is a very long time in Wayland space, I had HUGE issues with Wayland a year ago

Yeah makes sense. Proton/Wine itself improved vastly in last 2-3 years I might try installing Wayland tomorrow and running the games. Thanks!

ass everyone else. pacman -S timeshift. It worked fine before. this problem occured recently.

Timeshift is in AUR i think

well ti tried different versions.
