That’s the plan, openrc plasma artix is downloading on crappy laptop
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:38:19
So with artix I won’t get Grub headaches then
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:38:40

ChrisCromer 2022-07-13 03:41:04

That depends on you… If you know what you are doing it should be fine… If you’re an idiot, maybe you might fuck grub up… Only time will tell. šŸ˜‚

wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:41:49
I don’t really go swinging wrenches in config files, I just install and update when its needed
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:42:21
Hell maybe I could have just timeshifted to a previous manjaro snapshot
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:42:36
But I’m choosing this to be the last drop

Artix might not be the best distro for you then, artix is for advanced users who aren’t afraid to modify config files… In fact part of installing stuff in artix requires you to modify config to get it working as part of installing things. Manjaro is easy to use, artix and arch are not.

wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:44:55
šŸ¤” is there any rolling release non system d distro you’d recommend? I don’t mind editing config files if I have to
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:45:06
But generally just want to use my pc
ChrisCromer 2022-07-13 03:46:15
There isn’t really any that are designed for your average user… All the rolling non systemd distros are usually for more advanced usage.
ChrisCromer 2022-07-13 03:46:50
Manjaro is one of the few easy rolling distros, but obviously it has systemd.
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:52:13
I’d sorta stick to it if it weren’t for the community apparently being unfriendly in the forums.. Saw some vids
wxlfsangel 2022-07-13 03:52:20
I’ll give Garuda a spin
