Nope, isn’t my ideal distro because of pacman. I love pacman, but dnf/rpm is much safer and has many more features.

dnf is slower than pacman yes… But that is because it makes sure upgrades are safe and does it all with transactions that can be reversed if something goes wrong…

The backend is in c , it’s just the front end cli in Python. And they are switching in Fedora 38, they are going to drop dnf and use microdnf which is written in C.

It won’t. The speed isn’t because of python… it’s because of a feature rich dependency system and safety nets that make sure packages are safe to upgrade. You can’t have these features without sacrificing speed. Pacman is faster because it lacks these features.
