Sounds like a separate swap partition is best
qontinuum 2022-07-26 00:09:40
To snapshot your swap?
rush_shirt 2022-07-26 00:09:46
Well no
rush_shirt 2022-07-26 00:09:59
You have to do it on a separate sub volume
rush_shirt 2022-07-26 00:10:06
Swap file on btrfs
rush_shirt 2022-07-26 00:10:10
That’s not snapshotted
qontinuum 2022-07-26 00:10:26
Swapfile is good for temporary needs but for long run you should definitely use a swap partition
rush_shirt 2022-07-26 00:14:08
Oddly enough Debian/Devuan creates a swap logical volume by default if you’re using LVM

Because LVM has partitions. 🤦🏻♂

Joshua 2022-07-26 02:01:39
There is a program called ckb-next, I guess it’s in the universe repo but there isn’t a runit script in there, but thhere is an openrc, dinit, and s6 script in there. I just thought I’d mention it because currently I have to build it from source and create my own runit script, which in turn gives a warning whenever upgrading my system that the version in the universe repo is older that what I have installed.

(1/1) Displaying runit service help …
==> Add a service:
ln -s /etc/runit/sv/<service> /run/runit/service/
==> Start/stop/restart a service:
sv <start/stop/restart> <service>
ItsZariep 2022-07-26 02:27:36
in this case,
ln -s /etc/runit/sv/ckb-next /run/runit/service/
sv start ckb-next

I can say Artix is clearly best systemd-free distro. I tried Antix, MX, Gentoo, Devuan. Artix feels easiest and best.

And you are trying to get the 20220713-1 version? If that still happens, maybe move to a different mirror and then -Syyu to refresh the databases.
This is getting really frustrating… even this doesnt work..
