what packages depend on hwids?
eudev, pciutils, usbutils, those 3
capezotte 2022-07-29 07:31:47
i’d drop to tty and -Rdd them, then -Syu
capezotte 2022-07-29 07:32:00
(but don’t reboot between them, or else you’ll be left with a broken system)
sus_420 2022-07-29 07:33:15
alright chief
sus_420 2022-07-29 07:33:20

It sounds to me like your mirror is out of date… Those packages depend on hwdata since 7 months ago…
capezotte 2022-07-29 07:35:22
they’ll be usually pulled back due to the updated software requiring them
ChrisCromer 2022-07-29 07:35:27
Change mirrors

Assuming he did a base install. The non base ones don’t do pacstrap.

Open the fucking mirror file and pick a different mirror. π€¦π»ββ
ChrisCromer 2022-07-29 07:53:57
Considering the first one is dotsrc, the dotsrc mirror must be out of date…
