Do it yourself or shut the fuck up. We are volunteers not slaves. Things don’t just magically happen. It’s people working and importing packages. It’s not just about adding it to our repos. When a package gets added that means we have to support and keep it up to date. That is man hours, work, and dedication. Your “just add all packages” mentality shows that you don’t understand how distros actually work.

Syyu means that it has to REdownload something that is already on your fucking computer… it makes updating slower for you, and wastes bandwidth of the mirror. The only time you should use Syyu is if the files on your computer are corrupt.

Black arch isn’t designed for Artix, you should get support from them, not us.

you’d be better off grabbing the applications you want from AUR and repackaging them by yourself

because that’s pretty much what blackarch does in the first place, and if you are sticking with artix, you will eventually have problems due to systemd dependencies

Again, we can’t just import them all. Who is going to make sure they work, fix bugs, keep it up to date, etc. I for example maintain all of cinnamon’s packages and dependencies in Artix, I make sure it works, is up to date, etc, that is my contribution that I volunteer my time for.

And in the case of Q, he added refind. Which means he is now responsible for bugs, keeping it up to date, etc.
