Conf, checks if the file exists and does wg-quick up on that, does that mean it pulls up every single interface?

Can’t lose what you don’t have.

Spektrum_light 2022-08-03 21:57:48
wait a minute, doesn’t the runit service has a way to set which interface to use?
Spektrum_light 2022-08-03 21:58:25
because the script loops over /etc/wireguard/*.conf, checks if the file exists and does wg-quick up on that, does that mean it pulls up every single interface?
Spektrum_light 2022-08-03 21:58:43
or is my approach wrong because s6 allows you to specify the inteface
Spektrum_light 2022-08-03 22:00:32
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mullvad-runit
there is a runit script in the aur, you know what to do now
Spektrum_light 2022-08-03 22:00:48
install this and mullvad-vpn-bin and you’re done

but mullvad gives you plenty of intefaces, how does that work

One can just setup a different service, it isn’t like it is difficult to write a service on runit

You can put them in a different directory anf make a symlink only of the one you want to use

Wouldn’t say the same for other inits but it is just about writing a 2 lines script

Same for OpenRC. Just point the script to the daemon… And OpenRC can usually handle it.

ReßéL 2022-08-03 22:12:20
soo install mullvad-vpn and mullvad-runit
ReßéL 2022-08-03 22:12:24

I’d like to ask why you picked distro for advanced users if you are unfamilliar even with init scripts concept

Why are you hating an init system if you don’t even know how init scripts work? Can you even tell the difference between them besides the syntax, or tell what’s infuriating you in systemd so much?

Night_H4nter 2022-08-03 22:23:13
i can ask one question to end this conversation basically

He can’t even find his own cock, don’t ask such difficult questions

Night_H4nter 2022-08-03 22:23:38
what is it that you hate so much about systemd? ReßéL like, what are the concrete; exact things you hate?

even I can notice systemd is bloat, my system works better without systemd, faster boot time and less ram in idle
