Why should memory usage changes based on process or bgprocess..
Actually it could if buffers are allocated differently but meh
lordV 2022-08-08 01:33:57
Not worth to mention to someone who does not understand backgrounds
lordV 2022-08-08 01:34:20
At the end memory is same.. Does not depend on dinit but on the application you start.
lordV 2022-08-08 01:35:25
I wonder why he uses artix…
lordV 2022-08-08 01:35:34
Anyway dinit is for most stupid user..

lordV 2022-08-08 01:35:25
I wonder why he uses artix…
Because it make him look cool
At some point he thought every single symbolic links in Artix were broken so we laughed about him and he moved to the forums where, obviously, everyone laughed about him
Like he was the savior of Artix explaining to us that relative symlinks don’t exist
qontinuum 2022-08-08 01:38:28
The guy is a fucking disaster
Marc 2022-08-08 01:40:36

qontinuum 2022-08-08 01:24:22
Wait, we can supervise stuff with a supervisor?
there are services that are not supervised
lordV 2022-08-08 02:01:24
Marc 2022-08-08 01:49:54
there are services that are not supervised
Explanation?
Marc 2022-08-08 02:03:06
scripted seervices are not supervised

Looks like. But funny story.. Savior of artix.. ππ Like everyone is stupid except him ππ
lordV 2022-08-08 02:03:35
A script is a one shot..
lordV 2022-08-08 02:04:15
What exactly for you need to supervise it. Supervisor are for taking care of processes…
Marc 2022-08-08 02:06:38
maybe i dont need
lordV 2022-08-08 02:07:49
ScriptedΒ services are services which are started and stopped by a command (which need not actually be a script, despite the name). They can not be supervised.
lordV 2022-08-08 02:09:57
In case it’s a script.. Its a script..
In case you use it to start a service and stop one the service will be a daemon. But I doubt someone will use it this way.
lordV 2022-08-08 02:09:59
Whatever.
lordV 2022-08-08 02:10:46
Dinit documentation explains everything and beside this.. Little bit testing and you will reach your goal and beside it, you will learn something.

Not sure because declarative is like a framework.. Not so many big chances to fuck something up (except Marc) π
Runit is kind of scripting.. Even when many times only one line..
That gives opportunity for lot of bullshit
