They also ship tools during install that detect and install drivers and stuff. We don’t, you have to know what hardware you have and install the drivers yourself…

Manjaro community tells you “don’t install more desktop environments it will break your system”… Meanwhile on the endeavourOS wiki they have a page on doing that and how easy it is. Happy user of cinnamon now hah

But to have to try out other desktop environments using live ISOs all the time is a bit of a hassle

I don’t think they do, but because the config files are so specific and customized, installing other DE’s alongside and not going through resetting defaults means you move from plasma to i3 and you have no wallpaper or fonts are fucked up or idk something won’t work

So instead of having some script I guess or not fucking with things so much they just tell you “don’t do it or you break”

If you want to try some new user friendly arch distro try ARCO or EndeavourOS

They have graphical installers and set this up pretty well, without much customization of configs, I think everything comes default as if installed from repo I think
