I do stock market trading and at that time website of my broker used to run properly only on latest versions of chrome and falkon browsers. Being based on Debian it had old versions of falkon and I didn’t want to use google products like chrome. At that time that site was not running properly even on latest version of firefox so I switched to manjaro to get latest version of falkon. Now after firefox 100 the site is working properly on every new version of firefox so I can download firefox binary and can use any distro whichever I want.
Second reason was aesthetic. I don’t like the default wallpaper, Vertical panel, theme etc of MX. It’s true that these things can be customized easily but when distro maker takes care of small details then I can trust distro more. ( it is just personal preference)
