I think you don’t quite understand how fungi work… Two spores meet – they make diploid kernel – that’s a germination

After two spores form a cell with complete genes set, they start to multiply and become a mycelium

Mycelium is a giant organism, you can take any piece of it and it will grow into the exact copy of donor in the right conditions

I never did; But I knew this kind of process, except that it’s called germination

This is cloning, obviously… Isolating is picking the populations with needed traits and harvesting their spores until you get what you want

Spores are haploid, they have one nucleus and one set of chromosomes; when they germinate, they form a dicaryotic cell with two nuclei and two set of chromosomes; then it becomes a single diploid cell with one nucleus and two sets of chromosomes

Then it just divides until it forms a mycelium
