can someone explain to me why the almost full disk encryption option on artix wiki suggests making a fat16 instead of fat32 efi partition

Because you don’t need fat32 but you can actually go with fat 12, 16 or 32 as you want or as your UEFI recognises

@lanciagreggori I see it is the second time you mention /etc/local.d so no it doesn’t exist in runit also it is often not a solution at all, there are already a lot of mechanisms that can be used, auto mounting stuff at boot is something pretty basic and well known

unless you watch Default Runescape Character

capezotte 2022-08-29 00:43:10
also didn’t konimex port the local.d concept to runit?
capezotte 2022-08-29 00:43:20
i remeber it used to be loaded during stage1
qontinuum 2022-08-29 00:47:28
Well stage1 is kind of a local.d actually

May anyone know why battery uevent won’t update?
mdnssknght 2022-08-29 03:35:00
E.g battery capacity is 73%, it won’t update until a reboot

Same with battery status (discharging or changing)

open a terminal and run watch cat /sys/class/power_supply/*/online

if it changes when you plug/unplug it’s a problem with your taskbar/widget/script/w.e.
capezotte 2022-08-29 04:02:03
if not it’s a kernel bug, either hope for a fix next release or try lts

I remember 5.18.X not having this issue, I may install it if it’s a kernel problem

try lts first, at least you’re going to get security fixes
