Lmao
Alienatick 2022-08-30 13:13:38
lol, I mean if you read any books or used other sources, I’m dumb and I want to change that
lordV 2022-08-30 13:14:26
Start with manuals of all linux distros
lordV 2022-08-30 13:14:35
then watch all youtube videos about linux distros
lordV 2022-08-30 13:14:52
then install LFS
lordV 2022-08-30 13:15:06
actually LFS itself is a good learning process
R3VERED 2022-08-30 13:15:16
-_- worst recommendation ( not ever )
lordV 2022-08-30 13:15:37
LFS?
lordV 2022-08-30 13:16:26
youtube videos are definitely shit .. but sometimes you get some hint out of it.
lordV 2022-08-30 13:16:36
like a tool you did not know before

No it is mostly about using it and reading manual, I guess C programming also helped
lordV 2022-08-30 13:17:53
arch wiki is also a very good knowledge base
R3VERED 2022-08-30 13:18:17
What ever u recommended will not teach him about linux lordV
lordV 2022-08-30 13:18:25

Obviously teach
lordV 2022-08-30 13:19:12
who knows, some people here invent the most exciting words
R3VERED 2022-08-30 13:20:36
Tech already is a short form for technology, So…
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:20:42
I guess LFS needs a solid base at the beginning to be able to learn something from it, else you just follow instructions without understanding
lordV 2022-08-30 13:20:47
I don’t see it as that hopeless.
lordV 2022-08-30 13:21:05
you could also mean .. will not tech him – in kind of .. make a tech out of him.
lordV 2022-08-30 13:21:34
like i told before.. people nowadays bring up a very exciting use of words
lordV 2022-08-30 13:21:37
however

Like those guys installing Artix following Luke Smith’s videos and unable to do anything
lordV 2022-08-30 13:22:33
before arch wiki some youtube videos are good or ubuntuusers.de (im not sure there is a english version)!?
lordV 2022-08-30 13:23:06
Artix is something for enthusiasts
lordV 2022-08-30 13:23:49
Even as an Arch user who is spoiled by Systemd. It is not so easy to become master of the situation with Artix.

Well, you destroyed your install and still no one knows how
lordV 2022-08-30 13:24:24
Anyone who starts with Linux today does not know how many components are necessary without Systemd.

even then idk how well will it teach anything else than building linux from scratch.
Wat I would recommended is starting with some essential OS components like kernel, init etc.
Then creating a software that interacts with them.
books are also there of course.

I blame the Artix Runit Maintainer. Package was corrupt 😃

Well, it’s an oversimplification
