I blame the Artix Runit Maintainer. Package was corrupt 😃
Fuck off xD

Well, it’s an oversimplification
Yeah, hence it is stupid
2022-08-30 13:25:35
but if you can administer a Debian system you can use Arch after learning pacman’s syntax
2022-08-30 13:25:45
It’s really not that hard
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:26:40
Yeah but when you have a guy not knowing fstab exists it isn’t about pacman
2022-08-30 13:26:56
kek wtf
lordV 2022-08-30 13:26:56
No, I had then Artix running with Dinit. But it was too tedious for me to install all the packages. (Cronie, ntp, syslog etc.). In addition, I didn’t have full log files with kernel panics – therefore debug was difficult. I told you that anyway. I love Artix because it is available. But I prefer Arch for use.

fstab is the first thing you encounter when you install loonix
lordV 2022-08-30 13:27:45
You haven’t had to enter anything in fstab for a long time. I remember Debian Woody 😀
2022-08-30 13:27:56
Well I do

R3VERED 2022-08-30 13:30:51
-_- 1st thing u encountered is fstab,
U really should install a loonix.
U really should install a loonix.
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:31:15
First thing you encounter is agetty on manual installs ☝️

Don’t you generally generate and edit the fstab when installing arch lol
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:31:55
We have some users that failed the agetty step

I don’t literally mean “the actual first thing”
2022-08-30 13:32:27
It’s one of the very early stages of installing arch
2022-08-30 13:32:31
and gentoo

noatime and nodiratime are requirements now
you use it?
lordV 2022-08-30 13:40:34
standard is relatime
lordV 2022-08-30 13:40:51
actually i like to know the timestamps of files and dirs
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:42:33
I use noatime everywhere, it is also better for performances
lordV 2022-08-30 13:43:20
i have a 1000MB/s RW NVME .. you think there is a difference?
qontinuum 2022-08-30 13:43:50
It is still a write operation 🤷♂
lordV 2022-08-30 13:44:18
Thats true. But using a chrome based browser.. i will survive a timestamp write operation 😃
lordV 2022-08-30 13:45:02
noatime.. if you use dolphin or Thunar.. -> what does it show?
