They don’t do the same things at all, I guess vmware uses KVm in the background but they automate every single thing
I was not talking about implementation details, I too think that vmware uses kvm behind the scenes
Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:43:49
alright
grakata_clem 2022-09-03 13:44:02
I’m saying you can’t install kvm bare-metal without additional fuckery

qemu works right?
Yup but better automating through, at least, libvirt
Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:45:04
hm ok
Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:45:14
do you manage the server for your job?
qontinuum 2022-09-03 13:45:28

Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:45:33

Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:45:45
I always thought of libvirt as a library
qontinuum 2022-09-03 13:45:59
Not the vmware part at work tho, it is too complex and I am not skilled on this part
Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:46:12

Rougreh 2022-09-03 13:46:27

I want to play Destiny so I need Windows as long as they don’t support Linux through Proton in EAC
This is the good reason
grakata_clem 2022-09-03 13:50:21
I wanted to try Destiny 2, but it became so giant over the years so I refrained
grakata_clem 2022-09-03 13:50:47
Also devs said the amount of content makes the game hard to maintain and scale further
