Is there an easy way to access those on the phone and clear the cache for just one website instead of all of brave browser?

same behavior?
Glats 2022-09-21 00:17:03
is the problem persist then is the app not the webview
Glats 2022-09-21 00:17:18
if not the problem is the custom webview
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:18:28
ok ill try disabling the bromite webview
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:19:56
now it’s just not able to login at all, it doesn’t seem to be switching back to the default webview

so here’s my problem. i’ve cleared the cache and storage of both the android and bromite webview.
my problem is that when i try to login to the subway app with a different account, it auto logs in without me entering anything. it’s still remembering the login but i don’t know from where. i cleared cache and storage of the subway app too of course

Subway’s app might have fingerprinted your phone.

ok ill try disabling the bromite webview

also you can open hyperlinks with other browser rather than the built-in one

HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:22:49
it’s not a hyperlink or anything that i do spiecifcally, i just tap “sign in” and it auto opens a webview and then auto closes after a couple seconds
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:23:41
im just gonna login from the web browser and not the app. at least there i can just clear cookies and know that i’m good
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:24:00
i appreciate the help guys. i don’t think i’m gonna figure this one out today
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:26:53
wait wtf
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:27:19
i just cleared cookies in my brave browser for subway, then saw that i was signed in still. i clicked sign out, and tried the app again, and it’s working normally now
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 00:27:32
somehow the clear cookies in brave isn’t enough and i have to click sign out

Doesn’t it relies on os-tree more than flatpaks?

any third party apps must be through flatpak or docker iirc

you can change that behavior

Glats 2022-09-21 00:32:43
you can set instead of the webview use another browser

you can use debugging with chrome through usb

Glats 2022-09-21 00:36:16

more example google it
qontinuum 2022-09-21 00:53:26
Looks overkill just to log out from subway, can’t you just disconnect so that it ends the session and doesn’t autologin?

That’s weird

lordV 2022-09-21 01:04:28
But there is also something called localstorage
lordV 2022-09-21 01:04:52
Just check developer console and there is something like storage
lordV 2022-09-21 01:05:31
Would be interesting how they do it
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 01:20:54
i wouldn’t even mind if there was a 1 liner i could put in a virtual terminal like: localstorage – clear cache subway.com
or something like that, but damn it shouldn’t be this hard

HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 01:30:29

what’s your default browser? some android ROMs can use your default browser storage to store cookies

HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 01:38:09
its probably brave
HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 01:38:42
but i cleared cookies for subway.com in brave already and it didn’t change anything until i specifically tapped “sign out”

HunterTurner19 2022-09-21 02:27:57
is there a lot of demand for coreboot computers with intel management engine removed?
i found a way to do it on a 9th gen intel cpu on desktop, which i don’t think any website is able to do right now (they’re all laptop only). i was thinking maybe i should build these and sell them
