cfp_95 2022-09-29 12:22:50

https://github.com/Senderman/ranger-dbus
this is for ranger, you can modify commands for lf
what does it do is basically registers a DBUS service that will execute when you try to open a file

What exactly do you guys use zram for? swap or /tmp?
lanciagreggori 2022-09-29 12:53:20
And will there be any speed drawbacks since your using compression?
Spektrum_light 2022-09-29 13:32:52
is there anyway i can have passwordless prompt for sudo/doas/whatever when a device is plugged in? i suspect PAM shenanigas

Whatβs Stopping WebAssembly from Widespread Adoption? –
The New StackWasm is supposed to be a game changer for cloud native computing. But confusion over use cases and debates over standards are slowing things down. #WebAssembly #Wasm

As in sudo checks that if a certain physical device exists, don’t ask for a password?

You mean unlocking sudo when you plug the key?

sudo/doas and kinda, if either a certain usb device is plugged or the computer is docked

I guess you can play with udev rules and the config file but that’s absolutely awful, I don’t know how you can do this with PAM if there is a way since I know nothing about it
qontinuum 2022-09-29 14:01:09
Also I find this really insecure

Because anyone with access to said device gets effective control of the computer?

Because you just need to fake some identifiers to get full root access

If someone has physical access, they already got full control… Plug in a pendrive, mount the partiton, chroot in, profit…
ChrisCromer 2022-09-29 14:15:14
Unless encrypted of course
