Idk when looking up how to launch non repo apps on Linux there were instructions on ‘system level integration’ or ‘add the app to a system folder or something like that’

They’re talking about putting the item in your PATH so it can be launched from the terminal easily. System folders in this case would be /usr/bin and /usr/local/bin.

echo $PATH

move/copy the binary executable to your /.local/bin

then try typing the first 2 letters of it, and press tab

if in doubt press TAB, twice. Lol

A lot of the time ~/.local/bin won’t be in your path, so you’ll need to go to either ~/.bashrc or ~/.zshrc and add a line export PATH=”$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH”

open your .bashrc file

Hi I have only terminal access to my arch linux and I want to change resolution cuz my new monitor only support 1600×900 or lower
Any one have a solution to how I can do it ? Cuz I don’t have a monitor with 1920×1080 🙁
