Actually you can in some cases. The only thing stopping you is usually a single string in the driver package.

But Windows XP audio and graphics drivers worked on 10 the last time I tried

they should write a datasheet so anyone can make driver

Since the server is debian 9 and it doesn’t have python3 -pymodbus….Google suggested to add the stretch backport link to the source file
