Yes but could you have different tabs for different profiles on the same window?

It’s basically the only reason why I still use firefox

What would you have used instead?

Same went for Firefox color, which just like containers was a testpilot project

I would’ve used a chromium-based browser such as brave, but Firefox got multi account containers which are unmatched in the chromium ecosystem.

No chromium solution comes close to the efficiency and simpleness of Firefox’s one.

I spent quite some time searching for one

I personally like Firefox

Wdym? How does its dependency management differ from say, apt, pacman or xbps?

It only installs necessary dependencies and removes them when you uninstall.
That is why it is a little slower. It is more thorough

Yes but it tends to perform worst performance-wise, that’s why I’d like to switch

Do the multi account containers work for profiles?

You can do that with every package manager

Accounts? Browser profiles?

well, actually it depends to the error.

Can you check after installing each package if that package is installed?

Browser profiles

alphaCL223 2022-07-21 18:57:53
Browser profiles

Browser profiles are available both on chromium and Firefox, but multi account containers work differently, and have a specific purpose:

Keeping your current browser configuration and interoperability for different sessions

Of course, it is just better in dnf

yeah

OR
systemctl | grep <packagename>

Don’t really think so, and I’ve also used dnf enough, didn’t notice a substantial difference in this regard, if any at all

That’s what they are made for. Instead of having different browser sessions, you share the same one. Just with different cookies and storage for each container

DumbMahreeo 2022-07-21 19:01:34
And (especially with the new smart work wave) it’s incredibly useful to navigate between work/school accounts and personal ones

Seems like you still need to use the extension. Odd, I too thought that the extension was now integrated into the browser
