India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:23:47
It should torrent safely now
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:24:44
should i think that was a way to “hide” the server/port a bit in the internet.
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:25:11
Actually I make my ssh port to 25565 now
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:25:19
and replace 2022 with a honeypot
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:25:40
Let’s see what he want to do
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:25:54
That’s like normal
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:26:19
But if it’s automatical
Then why not 22 but 2022
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:26:29
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:26:19

Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:26:42

India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:26:58
Just like normal crawl and ssh bot
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:27:09
22 should be the first shot for them
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:27:15
Take IP
Scan for open ports
look what the reply is
if reply is SSH server of some sort ->
try root login
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:27:18
But i found nothing on my ufw log
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:27:32
well that make sense
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:27:40
well thats how it works
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:28:37
Just use public key auth and disable password over ssh
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:29:10
linux_group-1386139.jpg
as you can see here: sometimes it gets back what service is behind the port, and sometimes not
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:29:11
Most bots stop as soon as password login is not a available option
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:29:44
yes
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:29:52
It’s a container machine
Hitmare 2022-07-24 11:29:58
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:28:37
Just use public key auth and disable password over ssh

i probably should do that, but managing multible certs seems to be a hassle, especially if i need to quick access the server from a different device

India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:30:11
By default ssh server refuse to login with password
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:30:19
I just left them there
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:31:06
I think it’s time to setup a knock-knock sshd
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:31:15
India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:30:11
By default ssh server refuse to login with password

Isn’t just root login with password disabled? That’s the default on debian at least.

India Tech Support 2022-07-24 11:31:21
Use token to open a tmp port
Sawcon Mufat 2022-07-24 11:33:24

You can also store ssh keys in keypass and have them load on unlock. But yea it’s more of a hassle with different devices.

In arch linux i try to start my psotgres as guide says so, but when i try to run command
pg_ctl -D /var/lib/postgres/data -l logfile start
It declines my postgres user and tells me – “Permission denined”
When I run it with sudo command – it tells me –
“Run on user without privilleges”

Wtf?

The holy grail of computing is to have some way to distribute a program to any computer. This is one of those totally unachievable goals, but many have tried with varying degrees of success.  Peopl…

bad guys are all over,
ssh port should always be safe by firewalls (ofcourse if depends to your usecase). I usually allow my own ip address to connect to the server.
its so simple to figure out the ssh port and the sshd version on your server.

TBH, I live in the country where all the medias that are major are fake. So I don’t even bother to search for the right information.

In these days it seems that noone cares about the reality check, everyone has it’s own propaganda in Europe and noone is objective. Bipolar world or Cold War 2 – we re in it.

BTW, 0x8007000D is the error when I try to install Windows 2H21 or 2H22. It says it can’t locate my C/users file or that is corrupted. Now I have a new HP laptop that I need to configure, but not Linux Mint nor Windows 10 can be installed properly.

I need to wipe out completely the GRUB in boot or Groob in EFI and reload it? I don’t know how to reload it or completely wipe it out using some sort of reinstall. It had a Debian installation preinstalled. I am googling, but wandering is there a solution to this because I don’t even know what is the problem to be honest. Just errors. Some guys were very kind and helped me, but it didn’t work out. I am sure that the issue is due to Debian previous installation, but how to clean all installations previous and normally install at least Linux Mint for my mum is the question since I don’t think Windows would be installed. I am pro Linux definitely, but it’s just Windows being the easiest for her and she doesn’t have time for learning Linux. But I love the Linux Mint. Anyway, I am stuck.

Regarding you: wherever you are I support the no censorship idea, but all major medias around the world are basically controlled and we are victims of mass medias according to my opinion, so dunno, I don’t get why it is important at all when you have the government that will say via their mass medias to all the people – they are lying and don’t have anything to do and all people will believe them. Believe me, that what you seek with media freedom is a battle that has been already lost. Maybe you could do something regarding few countries, but Europe, Americas, India, China, Japan, Russia, Australia, Arab countries, and much more – they are all accustomed to live in the dictatorships of mass medias.
