I ve created an iso, downloaded the iso boot repair, created bootable drive via UnetBootin, still it is the same, it won t to detect the bootable ISO. Laptop doesn t won t to detect it. I don t get it. I ve just closed the UnetBootIn wizard and then removed the USB Boot-repair and then plugged it into laptop. This is getting really frustrating, I am doing a laptop install OS for more than a week now.

I ll try to do the flash again and reboot the PC, maybe that is the requuirement with UnetBootIn.

The processor is x64x86, so it should be working. I did the boot on PC with Boot-repair – it worked normally on my PC. Here it even doesn t want to be detected.

Give at least a hint what is the system.

I don t know, never had that. I am on Xubuntu, but I had ethernet showing 1 GB, but it isn t one GB, so dunno. Just a bug?
Regarding my problem, the Laptop doesn t want to detect the USB Boot tool. I ll try to find another one, but I am pessimistic.

Maybe it didn t wanna boot because the Boot disk is only GRUB, while it seems I need EFI now.

I still can go with live. Sorry for writting updates, but it s just I am a noob and it helps me and maybe someone find a like solution if he had the same problem.

Still I can t install Windows, error about not being able to open C:Sourcesinstall.wim The error code 0x8007000D. I ll try repair tools.

What did you use to create the Windows USB?

I haven’t heard of boot repair tool x32, and if you’re able to get the data off your drive you may want to just clean reinstall everything.

That’s usually what I do when my EFI gets too messy or that sort of stuff.

I did reinstall for the whole night. I am going to try with boot repair tool x64 version.

Then why are you spending so much time trying to repair boot, instead of cleaning out the EFI and starting fresh?

How to clean the EFI? i did manually.

But nothing is changing.

Live boot a Linux ISO. Delete EFI partition and recreate EFI partition. Then boot into BIOS and restore defaults.

No then you wouldn’t be able to access the BIOS. It would be bricked.

Not empty with Wndows USB nor with LinuxMint USB. But empty with Boot repair USB.

I deleted it, but maybe it wasn t in a proper way.
