I reboot my laptop every few hours, and shut it down before I go to sleep. The only device I have long uptimes on, is my router.

For a laptop it’s totally normal to shut it down before sleeping but every hours, I think it’s overkill….

When I go from playing games to just reading a PDF / browsing, or some other switch in workflow, I just like to make sure I’m working on a fresh system. It’s not really necessary but keeps things running smoothly.

Sometimes I don’t bother and have 18 hour uptimes. Depends.
