i never thought i would say but i really love the macbook pro as a machine, its excellent, albeit very expensive.. just the build quality is great, it’s silent, always cool to the touch, amazing screen, speakers and keyboard is the closest possible experience to a quality oldschool clicky/mechanical keyboard on a laptop

i hate all the typical low travel, flat, chiclet style shit that bottom out since i type at usually ~130WPM sustained with rapid fire fingers since my fingers are short and stubby… have to vibrate them like wings of an insect

yea im’ve been a mac user since mac os 5 in eth at fathers workplace
then had a 400er imac which when os x came out it was big shit and so i moved to linux

all the fancy effects that looked cool, i think OSX did so many little subtle aesthetics for their DE with the constraints of their hardware that it jsust shit the bed continually

i recently saw a 24 year old lady with a 12-14 year old macbook, it was crazy back then the narrative was that macbooks were really shitty qulaity and blablabla but you see more old macbooks of that generation than you do thinkpads 😀
