true experience is roughly equivalent to “if you don’t really care about having a functional computer”
smol_mazunki 2022-08-26 08:12:10

which is not to mean gaming on linux. it means you’re treating linux as a fun game

for the true experience use efibootmgr
and if you’re an authentic chad, swap out your bios to some foss bios instead (not recommended)

Dualbooting windows is always a nightmare.. i only did it on 2-3 month when i started doing linux and that to was on 2 disk with not even a common boot place, which mean i need to enter into bios and select the os manually each time. It was more convenient

I have only ever booted from a common drive, and never run across any issues with dualbooting. I haven’t dualbooted conventionally in a long time, with my laptop set to directly boot Windows by default. If I happen to have a Linux install and want to boot into it I choose the option in the UEFI menu.

Nah you didn’t have to do that, you could use grub as bootloader and add entry for grub to boot the other efi
