systemd-boot detects windows partitions instantly
its not about grub/systemd bootloader detecting windows partitions,
if windows is installed after linux, installer will destroy any other bootloader than which is needed to boot windows

thats not correct, the first bootloader that gets loaded depends on the boot order in your bios

Exactly you are getting the point
Dollscythe 2022-09-02 17:43:44
installing linux and windows will create two entries in UEFI bios
Dollscythe 2022-09-02 17:43:50
you just make sure the linux one is at the top
Dollscythe 2022-09-02 17:44:07
and systemd-boot will take care of things from then, detecting all partitions and giving you a nice boot menu

im saying windows installer can remove that entry
only in mbr/bios mode
Dollscythe 2022-09-02 17:44:35
in uefi mode it only adds an entry and isnt allowed to mess with other entries
