cancrl18 2022-09-08 19:42:13
I loved tech radar’s list for emulation though

Testing

cancrl18 2022-09-09 00:59:04
because there’s two ‘preview’ build options for Debian, which both require you install Debian normal first.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 00:59:15
here’s what I found so far, in English sadly.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 00:59:17
https://www.debian.org/releases/
cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:00:22
Here’s a start on whether or not you should do it.

So I can’t install testing version directly?

..from the sounds of it no, but it shouldn’t be too hard to switch to unstable FROM stable.

that’s not the same thing at all..

cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:02:23
That’s just stable debian including stuff that they can’t normally include, that you can manually install yourself.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:02:58
As far as I know there’s no ‘easy’ way of installing the ‘unstable’ version of a OS from boot media, you have to install stable first then move to unstable, by choice.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:03:18
Which is NOT the same as trying to get non-free firmware installed on the device.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:04:08
I’m on Ubuntu LTS so I’m not sure on all the intricacies of Debian’s differences so someone else may be better equipped to help your exact issue.
cancrl18 2022-09-09 01:05:20
In Ubuntu all it takes is installing something called ubuntu-restricted, which contains most of the non-free associated stuff that makes DRM content work among other things.
