We would never be able to use an LTE connection for downloading anything here in Canada.

Have you checked the UI? (for example notification bar (wifi indicator )- few youtube channels describe it as apple kinda notification bar [wifi indicator and other stuff on the top right side])

anyway most use people use it, even though you dont need it for Tor Browser
