Good evening. I want ask in which image is the Kernelimage stored. My device does have a dtbo partition and when I build the kernel standalone I get 2 images. A IMAGE which is the Kernelimage and a dtbo.img.

Kernel is stored in boot.img
Unpack boot.img replace the kernel image and repack and flash it

How to upstream kernel to higher version? Example: 3.18 to 4.9, 4.9 to 4.14
