My laptop is optimus with amd vega8/nvidia 1050ti and works fine, just that nvidia is to much for me, so I have it disable by kernel, I just use amd.

No the screen resolution is too poor with Nvidia drivers 😱

laptop and monitor are 1080 so it worked fine…. I can’t say about bigger resolutions

Do I need to launch a nvidia-xconfig to have better resolution ? The nouveau driver is better for my 1920×1080 screen

I used propietary drivers when were using artix and never had to launch that command. Just set config with xrandr. Never try nouveau.
